Interesting to see Thuraya-4 moving beyond just voice into a full platform. I wonder if this will finally make satellite internet reliable in remote areas, or just another pricey service.
Space42’s focus on integrating AI and IoT into Thuraya-4 sounds promising, but I hope they keep the basic voice and SMS affordable for users in off-grid regions who rely on it.
The transition to a software-defined platform is a smart move, but will legacy Thuraya handsets still work? I have an old Thuraya XT and don’t want to upgrade just yet.
