Labour MPs have put Starmer on notice after election battering. Can he turn it around?

Losing nearly 2,000 seats in the local elections is a massive wake-up call. Starmer needs to do more than just reshuffle his team—he has to actually offer a clear alternative to the Tories, not just be ‘not Boris Johnson.’
It’s interesting that even loyal ministers like Rachel Reeves are pushing for a change in direction. If they can’t agree on the green investment plan, how can voters trust them on the economy?
I get that Starmer wants to be cautious, but the party needs a bold vision. The local election results show that voters are drifting to the Lib Dems and Greens—if he doesn’t shift soon, Labour will lose the next general election.
