US awaits Iran’s response to latest proposal amid technical ceasefire

It’s hard to believe this ‘technical ceasefire’ will hold when both sides are still exchanging fire in the Gulf. The US proposal seems like a band-aid on a bullet wound.
If Iran rejects the latest proposal, we could be looking at another escalation. The Gulf is already a powder keg after those skirmishes.
I don’t see how a ceasefire can be tenuous and technical at the same time. Either you stop fighting or you don’t—this is just diplomatic spin.
The US keeps putting out proposals, but Iran’s leadership is clearly waiting to see if there’s any real leverage. They’re not going to cave easily.
Those skirmishes in the Gulf prove neither side trusts the other. The ‘ceasefire’ is just a timeout before the next round of attacks.
