Reform UK isn’t even a real threat in Scotland, so Swinney refusing to even talk to them just looks like grandstanding to his base.
With only 58 seats, Swinney needs all the allies he can get, but ruling out Reform shows he’s more interested in ideological purity than actually governing.
Interesting that Swinney is so quick to shut down Reform when the SNP’s own record on independence has been a mess lately.
