Finally the EU is taking a stand against settler violence in the West Bank—it’s about time they held extremists accountable.
Sanctioning both Israeli settlers and Hamas leaders seems like a false equivalence to me. One is a sovereign nation’s citizens, the other a terrorist group.
I wonder if Hungary’s change of government was the real reason this went through. Glad the blockade is over, but it shows how fragile EU consensus is.
The EU claims these sanctions are about violence, but why target only settlers and not the Palestinian Authority’s incitement? Feels one-sided.
